Privacy Policy

What we collect

BumpTrackr only holds the information you choose to enter or enable, which may include:

• Feeding, pumping, water, solids, sleep, diaper, and growth entries (including weight, length, and head circumference).
• Your baby's profile — name, birth date, biological sex (used only for growth-chart reference), and any photos you add.
• A caregiver display name you set, so shared entries show who logged them.
• For scanned baby foods: the product barcode and any brand, ingredient, allergen, and nutrition details returned for it.

We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, location, contacts, or usage analytics.

Where your data lives

Your entries are stored locally on your device and synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to your own private iCloud account so they stay in sync across your devices. This sync is between you and Apple — the developer operates no server and has no ability to access, read, or store your data.

If you invite a co-parent to share tracking, the entries you share are synced to a shared iCloud area that both of you can access. You control who is invited and can revoke access at any time in Settings → Sync & Sharing.

Camera

With your permission, BumpTrackr uses the camera to scan food barcodes and, optionally, nutrition labels. Barcode and label recognition happen on your device; captured images are not stored by the app or uploaded anywhere.

Third-party services

Open Food Facts

When you scan a barcode, the barcode number is sent to the free Open Food Facts database to look up product information. No personal or baby data is sent — only the barcode. Their use of that request is governed by their own privacy policy.

Apple Health

If you enable it, BumpTrackr reads your baby's weight measurements from Apple Health so growth tracking stays current. It accesses only what you permit in the Health app, and you can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings → Health.

Dropbox (optional — "Ask Claude")

This feature is off by default. If you connect Dropbox, BumpTrackr uploads a snapshot of your recent logs to a folder inside your own Dropbox account so you can review or ask an AI assistant about them. The app can only access its own dedicated app folder — nothing else in your Dropbox. You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Ask Claude, after which no further data is uploaded.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No selling or renting of your information.
• No account or sign-up — BumpTrackr uses your existing iCloud.

Children's privacy

BumpTrackr is a tool for parents and caregivers to track a baby's care. It is not directed to children as users, and it does not knowingly collect information directly from children. Information about your child is entered by you and remains under your control in your own iCloud.

Keeping and deleting your data

Because your data lives in your device and iCloud, you're in control of it. You can delete entries in the app (including Settings → Clear All Data), remove the app to clear local data, and manage or delete iCloud data from your device's iCloud settings. If you shared data with a co-parent, ask them to remove their copy as well.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data (for example under GDPR or CCPA). Because BumpTrackr stores your data on your own device and iCloud rather than on our servers, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the app and your iCloud settings. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Meaningful changes may also be noted in the app.
